What Happens in a Hypnotherapy Session
A hypnotherapy course is usually made up of an initial free half hour consultation followed by a number of sessions:

This session is for us to have a chat, I can explain how hypnotherapy works and how it can benefit you and you can help me to understand what you need help with, any future sessions can then be tailored to you. There are different techniques that I use as a hypnotherapist and we can talk about which would be most beneficial to you and how many sessions you may need, if you are happy to go ahead we can book your first hypnotherapy session.
In the first session we complete a medical history record, I will then go through how the sessions will be structured, how you will feel in the session and help you to feel at ease ready for your first session of hypnosis. This may include techniques such as inner child work, emotional freedom therapy or neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) followed by a deeply relaxing hypnotherapy session where you will begin to relax and feel calm and peaceful.
The amount of sessions depends on the individual and will be discussed at the time of the initial consultation.
A. The majority of people can be hypnotised as long as they are willing to relax and follow the therapists suggestions.
A. Your mind may wander as you are talked into a deeply relaxing state but you will always know whats going on and always be in control.
A. Hypnotherapy is safe you will notice benefits rather than side effects like more confidence, improved self esteem, feeling less stressed and more in control of your life.
A. Yes, as with all therapies, hypnotherapy works in conjunction with conventional medicine and is not an alternative. You should only reduce or stop taking medication if your doctor recommends it.
